TT Correspondent | 04 Apr 2018The MIUI 9.5 Global Stable ROM has been started rolling out by Xiaomi for its latest Redmi Note 5 smartphone in India.
The MIUI 9.5.4.0.NCFMIFA update brings several new features, optimisations, and bug fixes to the smartphone. The update carries version number V9.5.3.0.NEGMIFA and weights around 1.4GB. It will be rolled out in a next few days via Over-the-air (OTA) update. Alternatively, users can manually check for the update by going into Settings > About phone > System updates. Notably, the update is still based on Android Nougat.
This update comes with quick search options, the option to resume interrupted transfers in the Mi Mover app without starting over, an optimised browser kernel, new format for floating notifications in the landscape mode, a revamped start page, sound recording options for the screen recorder app and more. All the changes with the update are mentioned below.
