TT Correspondent | 17 Jan 2019The US-based communications and collaboration company Avaya Holdings Thursday appointed Sanjay Pai, as the regional sales director for the India market.
Sanjay will be reporting to Vishal Agrawal, Managing Director, Avaya, India & SAARC, and will be responsible for leading the north and east markets for Avaya India, it said in a statement.
“He has a proven track record of driving tangible growth for customers and partners in the unified communications and contact centre space,” Agrawal said.
The communications technology provider has recently renewed its focus on creating unparallel customer experiences with open and agile partner ecosystem.
Company’s massive installed base along with the ability to penetrate new markets and add new customers presents an unparalleled opportunity to extend our footprint as a major force in both unified communications and contact centre business, it added.
Pai brings in over two decades of experience in sales and business development and previously held leadership roles in organisations such as Genesys and Alcatel Lucent Enterprise.
“I am eager to work closely with customers and a very talented Avaya team in leading Avaya’s sales for the India market,” Pai said.
Following the rival Cisco, Avaya has also entered into UC headsets, as a part of an expansion of its contact center portfolio.
